Nordwind Freight: dispatch, rebuilt in 14 weeks
the situation
A 9-year-old dispatch system, one release a month, and a previous vendor a year behind schedule. Drivers were phoning in what the app should have told them.
what we did
Strangler-fig rewrite: React front end and .NET Core services carved out route by route, shipped behind flags, with the old system retired in slices, not at once.
what changed
Daily releases, live vehicle tracking, and a support queue that finally shrank. The board saw a demo every Friday from week one.
